Wisconsin Lt. Governor visits Menet Aero

MILWAUKEE, WI - Peter Menet recently met with Wisconsin Lt. Governor Kleefisch to discuss UAS operations in the State and ideas for how Wisconsin might capitalize on this rapidly growing industry. Menet provided the Lieutenant Governor with background on the current state of FAA UAS regulations, and expressed concerns about how job and business opportunities could be limited if Wisconsin adds local and state restrictions to the existing FAA requirements. Menet hopes to work with state lawmakers to propose legislation that addresses privacy and public safety concerns without limiting economic and job creation opportunities. He also hopes any UAS legislation does not unnecessarily limit legal commercial drone operators in an attempt to address the growing number of UAS hobbyists who operate illegally, dangerously, albeit often times unknowingly.
