Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) use is expanding rapidly in industries and fields including security, construction, agriculture, entertainment, and land management, just to name a few. A broad range of organizations are realizing first hand that along with the promising capabilities of UAS technology, there are also important limitations to consider. Industry pioneer, Peter Menet will discuss both the successes and challenges he’s experienced working with UAS technology every day for the past three years.
The use of drones as data capturing devices is on the rise and commercial uses of drones are expanding rapidly. Drone applications continue to expand as cost goes down and the technology progresses. Kirk Contrucci will discuss how drone technology can provide benefits to a wide range of organizations in the civil and commercial sectors with a particular focus on applications in land information.
